Fox Sports World Canada
Fox Sports World Canada is a Canadian English language Category B specialty channel owned by Shaw Media. FSWC's programming primarily features association football (soccer) with select programming on other world sports such as rugby.
Although its Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) licence calls for Fox Sports World Canada to carry soccer, cricket and rugby as their core sports, both cricket and rugby matches have all but disappeared from the station, with the exception of the half hour Total Rugby highlight show.
On October 27, 2010, Shaw Communications gained control of Fox Sports World as a result of its acquisition of Canwest, which was renamed Shaw Media.[1]
On November 23, 2010, Fox Sports World Canada was dropped from the Bell TV channel lineup and is now available via satellite only from Shaw Direct.
